REFUND POLICY
Effective Date: December 28, 2025
Harrisburg Animal Rescue Team (HART) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our supporters. Donations and fees help us rescue, care for, and rehome cats in need.
Donations
All donations made to Harrisburg Animal Rescue Team are voluntary and generally non-refundable, as they are used immediately to support our mission, including veterinary care, food, shelter, and other essential expenses. Refunds for donations may be considered only in the following limited circumstances:

•Duplicate donations made in error
•Incorrect donation amounts due to a technical or processing error
Requests for donation refunds must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the donation date. Approved refunds will be issued using the original method of payment.
Adoption Fees
Adoption fees are used to offset the costs of spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping, and medical care.
•Adoption fees are non-refundable once the adoption is finalized.
•If an adoption is canceled by Harrisburg Animal Rescue Team prior to finalization, any fees paid will be refunded. If an adopted cat must be returned, we ask that the cat be returned to Harrisburg Animal Rescue Team per our adoption agreement. Returned animals do not qualify for a refund of adoption fees.
Event Fees and Merchandise
•Fees for fundraising events or merchandise purchases are non-refundable, unless an event is canceled by Harrisburg Animal Rescue Team or an item is defective.
•If an event is canceled, registrants will be notified of refund or credit options.
